Abstract
Towns/Municipalities
Utilize NAME field as some "islands" exists in Idaho Springs that are unincorporated Clear Creek County
Purpose
Towns w/ annexations. This is the most accurate towns coverage in database. Georgetown boundary was converted from a .dxf file survey
Supplementary Information
DOLA requirement met with LUT h:\data\boundaries\town_dola.dbf, see also h:\data\boundaries\CO_Clear_creek fips55.xls for place codes etc...

Process step 1
Process description: Original Boundaries are thought to have come from Tiger circa 1991. Since that time, legal descriptions and CAD surveys have been utilized to check original boundaries and to add annexations.
In July 2008, we created a Look Up Table (LUT), that relates by LUT_KEY field to satisfy DOLA's Annexation Submissions. This table contains municipal & County information about source documents relating to annexations/detachments.
